Reciprocal Borrowing

Thanks to agreements among members of the Texas Panhandle Library System and Harrington Library Consortium, a library card issued at any Moore County Library can be used in dozens of libraries around the Texas Panhandle.  Likewise, patrons who hold cards from any member library may check out most items from any Moore County Library.

Interlibrary Loan

Any Moore County cardholder in good standing may request a book by Interlibrary Loan (ILL). We request the book from another library, which is then sent to us. This process usually takes about two weeks, but may take longer if the item comes from a library outside of Texas. The patron is responsible for one-way postage which must be paid when requesting an item; if an item cannot be obtained through ILL we will refund the postage fee. Patrons check ILL books out at the library (Dumas, Sunray, or Cactus) where they requested the items and return them to the same library.

Internet Access and Computer Usage

Internet access is available at all three branches of the Moore County Library System on our public use computers and via free public WIFI. Word processing software and printing services are also available on the public access computers.

Memorials

Honoring or memorializing a loved one with a gift to the library can be done by request.

1.      You may make a cash donation requesting that the library purchase a particular title or items on a particular subject or you may purchase the items yourself and donate them. The items must fit the requirements of our collection development policies, must be new, and must be approved by the library director before they will be added to the collection.

2.      You may make a cash donation for the library to use as we see fit.

With either option, we will send a note to whomever you designate, with the information that a gift has been given to the library. Please provide all necessary contact information at the time of donation.
